Well done to our Y5/6 boys that narrowly missed out on a semi-final place in the Newbury & District 6-a-side tournament at Trinity, beaten on penalties in true style!!!!
Solid performances through the group stage included a brace of goals from Thomas, brilliant triangles between Ollie, Tom & Owen and superb work in defence by James, Codie & Jacob, all backed up with excellent goalkeeping from both Kit & Thomas. This saw the team progress as group runners up and we were ready for the knockout stage!
However we were thwarted by a strong save from the opposition keeper and the width of the upright, but we are super proud of our penalty takers for having the bravery to ‘step up’ when it counted.
Thanks to parents and carers for transporting the pupils and supporting the team.
