On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day and our love of books and reading. Mrs Hayward led a special reading assembly, announced the winners of the Newspaper competition and introduced some new library books. It was lovely to see the children enthusiastically sharing books and making new friends.
Then of course today brought the World Book Day Bake-off. Some amazing looking (and tasting) entries. Winners will be announced on Monday.
Update: Congratulations to Erica and Mia who won first prizes in the World Book Day Bake-off. It was a tough decision for the judges on the school council. They were awarded with a £15 book voucher each in assembly on Monday morning. Thank you to the PDSA for providing such a great prize!
