Entries are invited from individuals, a class or even a whole school for decorative eggs at The Newbury Show on September 21st and 22nd 2024. There are two classes to choose from:
A painted egg: Paint on a design with any media – oils, watercolours, inks etc. Make your egg as colourful as you like but do not add anything else, not even beads or extra shell.
A decorated egg: You can paint the egg if you wish but need to add some form of decoration, such as beads, cardboard and shell. The egg can be cut, to reveal a painted interior, if desired.
Entries need to be delivered to the showground either during the day on Friday September 20th, directly to Poultry, or by 9.00 am on Saturday 21st, ready for judging at 11.00am. Each child who enters will receive in advance a free weekend child ticket to the Show.
Eggs can be blown or hard boiled. Rosettes will be awarded to the winning entries.
