Global Citizenship Assembly

In this morning's assembly, Mrs Bull informed staff and pupils that we will be taking part in an environmentally themed animal day in the summer term, as part of WWF's Wear It Wild. This will help us to raise awareness of endangered animals in another part of the world. Children will be invited to come to school wearing animal themed clothing for a suggested £1 donation to WWF.

The Eco Council have spent the past few weeks researching and preparing PowerPoints which they shared in today's assembly. They worked in pairs to present information on animals who live in Africa, the Amazon rainforest, the polar regions and India. There was much enthusiasm from the children, who were told that they would get to vote in class on which area of the world they would like find out more about. The area that gets the most votes will be the focus of our Wear It Wild day in the summer term.
