As part of our work with Eco-Schools this academic year, we would like to challenge all of our families to take part in the Cut Your Carbon campaign. This was introduced to the children in Tuesday's eco assembly where they learnt more about greenhouse gas emissions and how we can all take action to reduce our carbon footprints:
To take part in the challenge, all you have to do is print out the carbon-cutting checklist below and complete the challenges before Friday 15th December. Tick the challenges off as you go along and when you have completed as many as you can, bring the checklist back in and hand to your child's class teacher. Each completed checklist will recieve ruby gems - for kindness to the planet. A total of 10 ruby gems will be awarded to anyone who completes the whole checklist and there will be extra prizes for children who have made the most effort.
Please let your child's class teacher know if you would like the school to print off a checklist for you.
